Hey, guys! Just thought I’d give you a quick little update. I know it’s going to be a short post, but it’s a necessary one, really.

From my last post, you’ve probably guessed that my return to university life is around the corner. And it is. It’s more or less three days away until I return to the city which I do admire quite a bit. I’m glad about it, I really am – there’s a lot of opportunities that have been given to me this year that I’m really looking forward to experiencing, which is why I’m writing this.

I just wanted to put it out there that I may become a little irregular in my posting schedule. Of course, I’m going to try and aim to get a post up every three days like I do now, but I just know for a fact that that isn’t always going to be possible. As much as I love blogging, I do need to prioritise my studies, especially this year, and so I may have to sacrifice some posts to be able to concentrate on my work. This isn’t a bad thing for the blog, though. It just means I have more of a chance to write higher quality content – I don’t want to be forcing myself to write something just for the sake of it, I want to be happy with the content I’m publishing.

Of course, with university just around the corner, it means that the return of Anime Society Weekly Meetings are also around the corner. This means that, potentially, I’ll have more reviews coming as well, although I’m debating on what the best way to set this up is. In the final few weeks of last year, or in the first few posts on this blog, I used to simply write short paragraphs about each episode. Could I have expanded on these paragraphs? Quite possibly. So, I’m currently debating to write episode reviews in the same way as I would write any other review – between 500-800 words with a few pictures – and I could spread the content over a week, making the blog more active than it currently is with potentially six posts a week (including movie nights and marathons that take place on a Friday). If I did this, I would try and make it so you could have them grouped together somehow, meaning a slight change around of the design of the blog itself, which I’m more than happy to do.

However, a problem I have with this, particularly with the episode reviews, is that there’s usually no predicting which series are going to be kept in on a week-by-week basis. For example, a series that was voted in last year was JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. This series lasted nine weeks in the society and so, in theory, nine episodic reviews would have been made. But what then? I didn’t exactly enjoy Stardust Crusaders, so I wasn’t going to continue watching it in my free time, but I feel as if I can’t leave 15 episodes without a review just like that. Mhm. If you have any suggestions on how I could format these weekly meeting reviews, let me know, haha. I’d love to actually be organised on here for once!

I’m aware that this is quite a random, unorganised post, but it was basically to tell you that posts from 16th September onwards may not be as they are now. Depending on how I format the weekly meeting posts, you’ll either have up to six posts a week or a post on Wednesdays and a post on Saturdays, sometimes with an extra post as well, depending on different circumstances (e.g. I finish a series in my own time, find out some exciting news etc.).  This has basically been a post where I’ve been thinking ‘out loud’, so I do apologise if it’s a little all over the place. I know I said at the beginning  “I know it’s going to be a short post” but I’ve sorta lied about that, haven’t I? Oops!

Well, that’s all I have to say for the time being. All that being said, I’m going to go and catch-up on Orange before bed.

Until next time!
