I really do like finding cute little romantic stories. Something easy to watch, something wholesome to watch after a stressful day or after watching something not-so wholesome. So, when I found Sono Toki, Kanojo wa. last season, I thought I had hit the jackpot. It's simple and just nice.
Last week, I shared my top five female anime characters as a special post for International Women's Day. However, I didn't think it'd be fair if I didn't do one for the men in anime that we all love, so here we are. It's time for my top 5 male anime characters! Now, if I thought to compile the last list was hard, this one is on another level. Having been a fan of anime for seven years now, it's safe to say that I've seen plenty of boys - good and bad - meaning that there were quite a few contenders for this list!
Last year, I decided that it was about time that I actually took time to sit down and watch what seems to be a lot of people's favorite childhood anime - Sailor Moon. My expectations, realistically, were all over the place. On the one hand, I was expecting great things. A lot of people in the anime community praise Sailor Moon so much, even as adults, and there weren't many people I knew who slated it. Were they not just using their nostalgia to create their opinions? It turns out, no. They weren't. And, watching it for the first time as a 22-year-old, I think the series is definitely one filled with important lessons.
March 8 is International Women's Day! So, what better way is there to celebrate it by paying homage to my favorite females in anime? Exactly what I thought! So, here are my top five female anime characters! Expect a lot of cuteness and a lot of badassery at the same time!
Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica is by now a show that is certainly well-known within the anime community. Regardless of whether you're a fan of the magical girl genre or not, you have probably at least heard of the show, unless you've been living under a rock for the past eight years. One of the reasons as to why it took so long for me to watch this show was because of how cliché the synopsis sounds. The fact is Homura is completely right. Not everything is what it seems to be.
I have a couple of reasons why I hate this question. Firstly, what I consider to be my favorite anime at one point may be completely different from the one I consider to be my favorite at another point. It completely depends on not only my mood but also the circumstances that I'm going through at that time. So, really, the question of "What's your favorite anime?" for me is really complicated to answer.
Way back in November, I got nominated for the Real Neat Blog Award by the amazing Lina! As with all nominations I get, it came as a complete shock (more so with this one due to the lack of content lately, haha!) and I am absolutely thrilled to be nominated! Why? Because I truly love these awards. They're just so fun to do and the community spirit behind each and every one is simply awesome.
